Mazda RX-8 Spirit R dikabarkan baru saja dirilis di Indonesia (15 Februari 2012) dan mobil ini merupakan model terakhir (Final Edition/Limited Edition) yang diproduksi secara khusus sebelum produksinya dihentikan mulai Juni 2012.
Tempat peluncuran mobil Mazda ini adalah di Central Park Atrium, Jakarta.

Spesifikasi Mazda RX-8 Spirit R:
Mazda RX-8 Spirit R datang dengan mesin mesin rotary berkapasitas 1.3 liter enam speed. Sistem twin-rotor pada mesin rotary-nya mampu memproduksi tenaga hingga 232 hp pada 8.500 rpm yang dikontrol secara elektronik.
Kendaraan ini memiliki lampu depan, lampu kabut, dan lampu kombinasi di belakang dengan lapisan hitam agar terlihat lebih garang.
Mazda RX-8 Spirit R tersedia dalam 3 pilihan warna; Alumunium Metallic, Sparkling Black Mica dan Crystal White Pearl Mica. Sports car ini dilengkapi enam SRS Airbags dan Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).

Di Indonesia senjata terbaru dari Mazda tersebut dihargai 20 juta lebih mahal dari versi Mazda RX-8 yaitu sekitar 682 juta Rupiah.

The vehicle is own engine such as the following:

-DOHC 16 Valve S-VT & VIS
-5 speed automatic transmission
-power 163 PS at 6,500 rpm
-torque 20.7 kgm 3,500 rpm
The competitor of Innova, Honda Freed, Nissan Elgrand And Alphrad 2.400 cc is equipped with the following:
-chassis Mazda Geometric Motion Absorption (MAGMA) length 4,860 mm, width 1,850 mm, high 1,685 mm
